General

Skip sizes can vary from company to company and the terms mini, midi, builders are generic terms.  Exact size specifications can be found in the FAQ’s section of the website.

Customers must declare accurately where the skip is to be placed before delivery. Should a customer require a skip on the highway then Aasvogel will seek to obtain a permit from the relevant council and will charge the customer accordingly. Permits will have to be renewed in accordance with the policies of the relevant council. If a skip is exchanged then it has to go back in exactly the same place on the highway. Skips cannot be placed on the pavement or grass verges in some areas.

Payment is required on delivery or exchange of the container unless prior arrangements have been made with Aasvogel. Once a container has been rang in for collection up to 4 days should be allowed for the collection of that container. If a container was paid for by cheque Aasvogel will wait until the cheque has cleared before collecting the container.

The customer shall ensure safe loading of materials into containers. Containers must be level loaded and must not contain asbestos, fridges, food waste, tyres, batteries or any hazardous material.   Customers can contact Aasvogel for clarification. Under no circumstances must the container be moved by the customer once delivered.

Once customers direct vehicles off the highway Aasvogel will be indemnified by the customer against any damage caused to property or costs incurred by damage to the vehicle or third parties. This indemnity applies to the delivery, exchange or collection of containers. Vehicles will not cross soft ground, grass or any unsuitable surface.

All containers remain the property of Aasvogel. Any loss or damage sustained to the container whilst in the care of the customer will be the responsibility of the customer. Aasvogel reserve the right to charge the customer accordingly to recover the costs involved. No fires are permitted in the containers.

You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your Personal Information.
